Study From the Book of Genesis,41
Today we study chapter 41 of the Book of Geneses. There are many biblical principles and lessons in this chapter. But I choose the most useful two in the Biblical Counselling.
This chapter describes the turning point in Joseph’s life. He rose from a dungeon to the Egyptian’s throne room. God engineered the circumstances so that through Joseph, He could meet the needs of a nation and the whole ancient world during the coming famine and reunite Jacob’s family.
Structure:
Verses 1-36: Pharaoh’s dreams.
Verses 37-57: Joseph’s rise to power.
Principle 68: ----” Then it came to pass, at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh had a dream; and behold, he stood by the river.”
Lesson 68: Joseph languished in prison for two full years before he gained his freedom. Yet he did not blame God, but continued to serve Him. He learned, as we must, that God acts on behalf of those who wait for Him.
Principle 69: ----Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.”
Principle 69: By the time Joseph rose to power in Egypt, he was 30 years old-perhaps a dozen or more years after his brothers sold him into slavery. No doubt he felt disappointed during those years, but he never chose to feel discouraged.28/6/2026.
