                       Study From the Book of Zechariah, 10

Today we study chapter 10 of this rich book of the Bible and as usual we will pick up a couple of biblical principles which are useful in biblical counselling either as self-help or in counselling others.

Chapter 10 talks about the prophesy regarding Judah And Israel at the end of the age, after the rupture of the church and the happy   millennium, when the Lord Jesus reigns on the remnants of Judah and Israel and on the rest of the World. We understood that from studying the previous chapters.

However , as we did before, we are interested on the spiritual blessings and lessons that can be learned from them as we are passing though the wilderness of this world with all its problems and difficulties .

Principle 19 verse 10:6- “I will save the house of Joseph; I will bring them back, because I have mercy on them. They shall be as though I had not cast them aside.”

Lesson 19: Even in judgement, God shows mercy. He does not desire to punish or cast aside any one, but in love calls every one to repentance and life.  This important lesson is based also on many biblical verses. For example in Ezekiel 33:11 says, “ As I live, says the Lord God, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked but  that the wicked turn away  from his way and live.”

Principle 20 verse 10:12- “ So I will strengthen them in the Lord, and they shall walk up and down in His name, “says the Lord.”

Lesson 20: God wants us to become living advertisement for Him, walking billboards of His love and grace and mercy and holiness. But the only way for that to happen is to allow the Lord Jesus to reign on our hearts.
