Study From the Book of the Second John,2
The apostle John, after greeting the elect lady and her children, goes on to remind them of the great commandment which is to love God and to love one another.
He then talks about the deceivers, as he named them antichrist. These deceivers teach that God did not manifest in the flesh in the Lord Jesus Christ. The truth is that God came in the flesh to go to the Cross to die for us to redeem us from the wages of sin which is death and then He rose again. John stresses that they (and also we) should not receive those false teachers in their house and not to greet them, otherwise we risk losing our rewards in heaven.
John then ends his letter by farewell greeting.

Principle 1, verse 5: “- and now I plead with you , lady not as though I wrote a new commandment to you , but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another.”
Lesson 1: To love God and to love others as we love ourselves- the core requirement of heaven has remained the same from the Old Testament to the days of New Testament, and on to today.
Principle 2 : verse 8: “- Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.”
Lesson 2: God desires to fully bless us by giving us the maximum number and quality of rewards possible- but we determine what kind of reward we will receive, based on how closely we walk with Him and thereby obey His voice.14/3/2021
