Study From the Book of the Second Corinthians, 6

Study From The Book of the Second Corinthians,6

Today is the first Sunday of the New Year. I pray that the New Year will bring all the happiness to us all as we continue in studying the Word of God.

Today we continue in studying the Second Corinthians, where we study chapter 5 and as usual we will pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be used in biblical counselling.

Chapter 5 has main three topics:

  1. Verse 1 to 8: Assurance of the resurrection.
  2. Verse 9 to 11: the judgment seat of Christ.
  3. Verse 12 to 21:  Be reconciled to God.

Principle 9, verse 5:7:  “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Lesson 9: Paul writes this verse in the context of the resurrection of the body; we remain confident that we will live again in a new glorified body, not because we see it , but because the One who gave the promise.

Principle 10, 5:21: “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Lesson 10: God took the sins of the whole world and, on the cross, piled them on back of Jesus Christ, the one person who had never committed a single sin. Jesus took our punishment so that we might receive His righteousness.
