Study From The Book of the Second Corinthians,5
By the end of this year, we have made a substantial study of the Word of God and we have a lot of biblical; principles and lessons that already been learned and applied. However that never be enough to satisfy us with the richness of this eternal Scripture.
So today we study chapter 4 of the second Corinthians and as usual we pick up a couple of verses and lessons that can be applied in biblical counselling, either as self-help or in counselling others.
Chapter 4 contains the following topics that can be summarised as follows:
Principle 7 , verse 4:7:- “But we have this treasures in earthen vessels , that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
Lesson 7: we desire to be as strong as possible, and there is nothing wrong or unusual about that.. But God often allows us to remain weak, at least in some areas, so that all can see He accomplishes the work, not us.
Principle 8, verse 4:17: “For our affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal eight of glory.”
Lesson 8: God will never be a debtor to anyone. That means that any “sacrifice” we make or hardship we endure for His sake and by His Spirit , He will amply reward out of proportion to what we suffered. 30/12/2018
