Study from the Book of Second Corinthians, 12
Today we study the 11th chapter of this vital epistle of the Scripture as part 12 of the series and as usual we look at a couple of verses that can be applied in biblical counselling.
Before that we look at the main topics of this chapter which help us as we read through the passage.
Chapter 11 has four main topics:
Principle 21, verse 11:3: “-But I fear lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
Lesson 21: in Genesis 3, we see the deceit of Satan presented to Eve in the serpent. Satan added and deleted parts of God’s truth to look as if it is right in her eyes. Unfortunately Eve and then Adams fell and the whole creation fell because of them. Thanks to God who created us and redeemed us, so that we might spend eternity with Him. The only way that we overcome the craftiness of Satan is to keep our minds concentrated on Christ and on His Word in the Scripture.
Principle 22, verse 11:14: “- Who is weak and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble and I do burn with indignation?”
Lesson: 22: Paul admits that he is a vessel of clay like other believers. The only strength that he has is through Christ who strengthens him all the time. Otherwise, he would burn with indignation. 17/2/2019
