Study From the Book of Romans,6
Today we continue in studying the book of Romans chapter five. There are three main topics in this chapter that can be outlined as follows:
As usual, we are looking for a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be applied in biblical counselling.
Principle 9: verse 5:1: “Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Lesson 9: This verse summarises the whole of the Christian faith. For us who place faith in the risen Christ , the war with heaven is over, Halleluiah. We move from darkness to light, from enemies with God to beloved children, from death to life. What is more? God showers His peace on those who trust Him.
Principle 10 :verse 5:3,4 : “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance , character , and character hope.”
Lesson 10: Trials, difficulties and adversities are often God’s way to mature us into people who look more like His son. No one likes trials, but by faith we can begin to understand how God may want to use them for our good.
