Study From the Book of Romans,1
Today, the Easter Sunday for the West, we start the study in the Epistles of the Apostles of the New Testament to pick up biblical principles that can be applied in biblical counselling. So we start from the Book of Romans. Here we come across the Apostle Paul’s greatest work. It is placed first among the thirteen epistles that he wrote inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The book of Romans comes after the four gospels, involved with the words and works of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Romans, the apostle Paul offers us with the most systematic presentation of the Christian faith doctrine of the Scripture.
However, the book of Romans is not only a book of theology but also it gives us practical ways to live a life of righteousness after been justified by faith.
It presents the crucial topics of grace and faith. However, it is also the book of joyful obedience.
The theme of the book is for everyone to enjoy peace and fellowship with God through faith in Jesus Christ, who gives us the desire and the strength to gladly obey the Lord.

Date: most scholars believe that the apostle Paul wrote Romans around A.D 57 at the end of his third journeys.
Structure:
Chapter 1:8: the doctrine of Christian faith is explained: the only way to fellowship with God is by grace through faith in the risen Jesus Christ.
Chapter 9 to 11 Paul talks about the Jews who refused the Lord , will one day accept Him as their Saviour.
Chapter 12-16 explain of how the people who been saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ should live and behave.
