Study From the Book of Micah,4
Here is the fourth part of the series, “Study From the Book of Micah.” Today we will study the biblical principles and lessons in chapter 3.
In chapter 3 , Micah calls God’s judgments on the false prophets and teachers. False prophets and false teachers are present in every period of history, especially in this end of age time. So we need to be aware of them and aware of their false teaching.
Principle 5 (3:4) “Then they will cry to the Lord and He will not hear them.”
Lesson 5: It is a biblical principle in all over the Bible for example in Psalm 66:18, the psalmist says, “ If I regard inequity in my heart, the Lord will not hear.” So God does not hear or answer sinful people who commit sins unless they repent and turn away from their sins.
Principle 6 (3:8) “But truly I am full of power by the Spirit..”
Lesson 6: one might ask ,how did Micah ,a single man, face all the opposing people and false prophet when he told them truth about God’s judgement. Of course they were not happy of him wanting to hurt or even kill him because what he said did not please them. The answer is in this verse, and others like “God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind (2 Tim 1:7). That power comes from His Spirit: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.”(Acts 1:8 see also Eph.3:16)
