Study From the Book of Lamentations,4
Today is to study chapter four of the Book of Lamentations. We pick up one biblical principle and its lesson which is useful in Biblical Counselling.
The Babylonian army looted the temple and overturned all its huge stones. The people of Jerusalem were of more value than the temple. Elsewhere these people are
referred to as “My son, My firstborn “and a special treasure to Me ---a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. However, the bodies of the brave defenders are thrown out like broken pieces of clay
pots.
Nazirites were men and women who specially committed themselves to God for periods of special devotion. However, the siege of Jerusalem was so terrible that no one was except, not even the truly godly people like the Nazirites
Structure:
Verses 1-22: the degradation of Zion.
Principle 7, verse 4:17 : ---“In our watching we watched for a nation that could not save us.”
Lesson 7: When trouble storms into our lives, where do we first look for help? The doctor? Our congressman? Our parents? Our rich uncles? God may use any of them; but only He saves.12/01/2025
