Study From the Book of Joel.4

Study From the Book of Joel ,4

This fourth and final part of the series “Study From the Book of Joel.” Here, we look at the final three biblical principles in this rich book of the Bible. Here there are the blessings of repentance and the judgement of the wicked who died in their sins.  Joel also describes the prophetic blessings of the day time of the Day of the Lord that will end with the judgement of the dead.  As mentioned before, the Day of the Lord will occur after the rupture of the church at the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. That day starts by night of the 7 years of the great tribulation which is followed by the blessings of the Day time of that day when the Lord reigns physically for 1000 years as the book of revelation shows that.

The Day of the Lord will end by the judgement of the dead who refused the salvation that has been offered through the time of the church on earth.

Principle 4 (2:25): So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten..”

Lesson 4: These blessings will follow sincere repentance. God will restore and compensate for all the losses that happened because of the sins of His people as long as they repent their sins and acknowledge the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus that occurred when He died because of  their sins.

Principle 5 (2: 28): “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams. Your young men shall see visions.”

Lesson 5: this verse was coded by the Apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:16-21). Peter held that they had witnessed the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all flesh as Joel prophesied.   However, the key word is all flesh that did not happen at the Day of Pentecost. So this prophesies happened partially. However in the day time of the Day of Lord, the Holy Spirit will be poured on all flesh.

Principle 6 (3:13): “Put in the sickle, for the harvest is rip. Come go down; for the winepress is full, the vats overflow-for their wickedness is great.”

Lesson 6: The prophetic vision of Joel of the Day of the Lord will end by the judgement of the wicked who died in their sins before they repented. However there is a message for all those who continue to sin. The time of mercy and grace will not continue forever. They may reach to the point of no return where His judgement inevitably falls (Rev. 2:5).
