Study From the Book of Jeremiah,24

Study From the Book of Jeremiah,24

Today is the twenty-fourth part of this series where we study chapter 24. Here, there are one biblical principle and its lesson which is useful in biblical counselling.

The good figs are identified with the deported exiles, including Jeconiah’s royal household, whom God set apart for good. God would bring back the captives, establish them in the land, and multiply their crops. Above all, God would give them a heart to know Him.

For the people remained in Jerusalem treated Jeremiah harshly subjecting him in beating and imprisonment. Zedekiah and his entourage along with Jews who fled to Egypt, would see the trouble and harm.

Structure:

Verses 1-10: signs of two baskets of figs.

Principle 40, verse 24: 7:    --"Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.”

Lesson 40: God wants our whole hearts. He wants an intimate relationship with us that affects every part of our lives-our work, our families, our friendships, our money, everything. He wants us, not what we have.5/5/2024.
