Study From the Book of Isaiah,57
Today is the fifty-seventh part of this series where we study chapter 62. And as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be useful in biblical counselling.
In this chapter, prophet, Isaiah talks about Zion’s salvation at the end of the age when the Lord Jesus reigns for 1000 years at the millennium. However, this passage also refers to the blessings that we get as believers whom redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. The Gentiles shall see Zion’s righteousness and blessings. Zion will be given a new name or stature. It will not be forsaken and it will be called “Hephzibah” as the Lord delights of it.
Isaiah then argues the watchmen to pray constantly to the Lord to achieve this promise which God promised to come to pass by prayers.
Structure:
Verses 1-12: assurance of Zion’s salvation.
Principle 109, verse 62:6 “—I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem--- .”
Lesson 109: God have set intercessors or prophets whom they intercede for His people on earth. Also, the Lord Jesus Himself (High Priest) is our intercessor, in the right hand of God in heaven, who intercedes for us in weakness as the book of Hebrews says in 4:15.
Principle 110: verse 62:11, “-Surely your salvation is coming; behold His reward is with Him.”
Lesson 110: Jesus is our salvation, and He is coming again to give rewards to His followers. “And behold, “He says, “I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work” (Rev.22:12).19/06/2022.
