Today is the fifth part of this series where we study chapter four. And as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be applied in biblical counselling.

Chapter 4 verse 1 is the continuation of the idea of the previous chapter of the night of the Day of the Lord (starts from the rupture of the Church, all the through the tribulation and great tribulation of 7 years until the millennium reign   of the Lord Jesus Christ). In that night, because there will be no much men as most of men die in the tribulation, so 7 women take hold of one man to have children ( to take away their reproach).

After the night of the Day of the Lord , there will be day time of restoration of Israel and the whole world.

The renewal of Zion is of three parts:

1. The Branch of the Lord (Lord Jesus) will be glorious, verse 2
2. The remnant will be holy and sanctified and the earth will be released from its curse, verses  3- 4
3. The Lord will provide a protective covering over Mount Zion,verses 5-6.  

Structure:

 Verse 1: continuation of the previous chapter

Verse 2-6: the renewal of Zion.

Principle 7 verse 4:2: “ – in that Day the Branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and  glorious.”  

Lesson 7: Isaiah is the first prophet to call the coming Messiah by the name “Branch.” He sees a time when Jesus will reign in glory and bring prosperity and joy to the whole world.

Principle 8 verse 4:5 ”--- for over all glory there will be a covering.”

Lesson 8: God’s gifts are without regret as God provides protection. When God gives us prosperity for example, this will not be taken away even if Satan tries hard to do that.  16/5/2021
