Study From the Book of Isaiah,41
Today is the forty first part of this series where we study chapter 45. And as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be useful in biblical counselling.
In this chapter, Isaiah prophesied that God will anoint and appoint the Perish’s king Cyrus to deliver the Israelites from exile in Babylon. Some argue that why God chooses a pagan king to deliver His people. But God can do whatever He likes to save His people even by using unbelievers to help the believers. He is the Creator and He is in control.
Isiah then looked further and prophesied the end of the age when Israel will be totally saved with an everlasting salvation. That will happen at the second coming of the Lord Jesus and after the tribulation and great tribulation when the Lord Jesus will reign for 1000 years.
Structure:
Verses 1-13: Cyrus, God’s instrument
Verses 14-25: the Lord, the only Saviour
Principle 77, verse 45:6,7 “—I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I the Lord, do all these things”
Lesson 77: God is a lot tougher than we sometimes think. He does not lack the spine to act decisively, nor does He lack the power to bring order to a chaotic world, Never doubt His resolve or His strength.
Principle 78, verse 45:15 “-Truly You are God, who hide Yourself. O God of Israel, the Saviour.”
Lesson 78: God hides Himself in His wrath, but He reveals Himself in the Scripture. 6/2/2022
