Study From the Book of Isaiah,37

Study From the Book of Isaiah,37

Today is the thirty-seventh part of this series where we study chapter 41. And as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principle and lessons that can be useful in biblical counselling.

In chapter 41, Isaiah prophesises that the Lord puts the nations on trial to show them that He alone is God because only He can predict the future. The trial  consists of two cycles, followed by a praising hymn. In each trial cycle there are three elements:

  1. A call of the nations to trial
  2. A prediction of the coming Cyrus
  3. A celebration of the victories of the Servant (the Lord Jesus Christ).

Structure:

Verses 1-20: Israel assured of God’s help.

Verses 21-29: the futility of Idols.

Principle 69, verse 42:10 “-Fear not, for I am with you, do not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Lesson 69: Each of us will face fear at some part, it is what we do with it , that matters most. We must claim our position as God’s children. We have the power to overcome fear when we apply His Word to our lives.

Principle 70: “-The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord will hear them; I, the God of Israel , will not forsake them.”

Lesson 70: Hard times come, when we run of what we need to live. We hunger, we thirst, and so we cry out to God. God does not promise to spare us these times, but rather to sustain us in them.  9/1/2022
