Study From the Book of Isaiah,32

Study From the Book of Isaiah,32

Today is the thirty second part of this series where we study chapter 36. And as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be useful in biblical counselling.

Isaiah validates his prediction that the Lord would destroy Judah through Assyria but that been prevented by the prayer and fasting of the Godley king Hezekiah. In this chapter Sennacherib surrounds Judah and sent a threatening message to Hezekiah boasting against the Lord.

Structure:

Verses 1-22: Sennacherib boasts against the Lord.

Principle 60, verse 36:7: ” But if you say to me , ‘We trust in the Lord our God, ‘is it not He whose high places and whose alters Hezekiah has taken away?...”

Lesson 60: Those who do not know the Lord simply cannot understand what a real life of faith is all about. Hezekiah removed those alters, of course, because God told him to. Religious expression does not necessarily mean spiritual reality.

Principle 61, verse 36:15 “--nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord saying ‘ the Lord will surely deliver us---'”

Lesson 61: People try to make us doubt the existence, power, and love of God all the time. They will encourage us to “get with the program” and “be smart” and abandon what they see as religious nonsense-but God still rules. 28/11/2021
