Study From the Book of Isaiah,24
Today is the twenty-fourth part of this series where we study chapter 28, where there are a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be useful in biblical counselling.
Chapter 24 starts by woe to the Northern Kingdom’s rulers that was to serve as an example to Judah’s rulers.
He then shifts in verse 16 to talk about the Lord’s promise to establish His future kingdom on the sure foundation of justice and faith. Apostle Peter identifies the stone for a foundation as Jesus Christ (Pet. 2:4-6). Isaiah ends this chapter by encouraging us to listen to the teaching of God.
Structure:
Verses 1-15: woe to Ephraim and Jerusalem
Verses 16-22: cornerstone in Zion
Verses 23-29: listen to the teaching God
Principle 44, verse 28:5 “In that day the Lord of hosts will be for a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the ruminant of His people.”
Lesson 44: Do we consider the Lord our greatest treasure, our most precious possession, the deepest joy of our hearts? He longs to be closer to us than parents, mates, or children. We are His treasure, and He wants to be ours.
Principle 45, verse 28:29: “-this also comes from the Lord of hosts who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.”
Lesson 45: Have we experience a wonderful counsel of God? Have we invited Him to guide us to excellent places? He wants to lead us into a great future-but we must listen to His voice and obey His directions. 26/9/2021
