Study From the Book of Isaiah,21
Today is the twenty first part of this series where we study chapter twenty-25. For chapter twenty-five, there are a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be useful in biblical counselling.
Chapter 25 is a poem of praising the Lord. He is good. It has three ideas: first a hymn of praise by Isaiah. Second, the Lord feast on Mount Zion celebrating His victory over death (it might be pointing to the Lord Jesus’ resurrection). Third, the hymn of praise by the congregation.
Structure:
Verses 1-12: Praise to God.
Principle 38, verse 25:4 “ – For you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat—"
Lesson 38: Whatever we need God to be for us, He is. He gives strength to the weak, shelter to the homeless, shade to those fainting in scorching sun. Our redeemer is all this to us. And more.
Principle 39:verse 25:9: “—Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us.”
Lesson 39: throughout the Bible, God promises to act on behalf of those who wait for Him. In the act of waiting, we demonstrate that we believe the promises of God and that we trust Him to fulfil them all. 5/09/2021
