Study From the Book of Isaiah,19
Today is the nineteenth part of this series where we study chapter twenty-two. For chapter 21 that talks about the fall of Babylon, no biblical principles and lessons we can learn from. For chapter twenty-two, there is one biblical principle and lesson that can be useful in biblical counselling.
This chapter talks about the proclamation against Jerusalem. It talks about the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D 70 at the hands of the Roman emperor Titus because they refused the Lord Jesus and crucified Him. But also talks about what will happen in the future at the time of great tribulation that will precede the millennium when the Lord reigns for 1000 years.
Structure:
Verses 1-24: proclamation against Jerusalem
Principle 35 verse 22:22 “—So He shall open, and no one shall shut and He shall shut and no one shall open.”
Lesson 35 : Revelation 3:7 applies this verse to Jesus. When He gives us an open door for ministry and beckons us to walk through it , we are to do so without fear that it will slam shut behind us. He is sovereign. 22/08/2021
