Study From the Book of Isaiah,13
Today is the thirteenth part of this series where we study chapter twelve. And as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be useful in biblical counselling.
The whole chapter 12 title is "A Hymn of Praise." When the remnant who return from the four corners of earth enter the millennium as the Lord Jesus reigns on the whole earth. The remnant will sing this hymn of praise.
This hymn of praise is for God’s salvation. It is singing by the returnibg remnant. It resembles Moses and Mariam’s hymn of praise after the first Exodus from Egypt in Exodus 15.
Although this hymn is for the Jewish people at the end of age, it is also, a hymn for us when experience salvation either at the time of regeneration or when experience God’s salvation from difficult situation.
Structure:
Verse 1-6: A hymn of praise.
Principle 23, verse 12:2: “—Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid.”
Lesson 23 : When hard times come around, we always have the choice of whether to trust God or to fear. “ I lost my job”- trust or fear? “We cannot pay the mortgage”- trust or fear? “I do not feel well” =trust or fear?
Principle 24: verse 12:3 :“—Therefore with joy you draw water from the wells of salvation”
Lesson 24: Our salvation should give us joy every day, not merely in the period immediately following our conversion. God’s salvation is not about eternal life only, but about an abundant life right now. 11/07/2021
