Study From the Book of Hosea,3

Study From the Book of Hosea,3

This part of the series deals with biblical principles written at the end of each of the first three chapters of the book. It deals with the privileges of people of Judah and Israel at the latter days when the Lord Jesus will reign at the millennium after the great tribulation. During that time to come, the Jewish people will repent as a nation and accept the Lord Jesus as their saviour and redeemer.

However for us as believers, the following biblical principles describe the spiritual blessing that we already enjoy now in Christ as children of God.

Biblical principle 4,(2:16): “And it shall be, in that day, “says the Lord, that you will call Me ‘My Husband.’ And no longer call Me ‘My Master.’”

Lesson 4: The Hebrew word Ishi, means “husband” While Balli means master or owner. The first word expresses the deepest desire of God’s heart for us –that we would know Him and have relationship with Him as a wife who has an intimate relationship with her husband.

Biblical principle 5, (2:20):“I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord.

Lesson 5: God extends His loving-kindness to us, even when we stray from Him. As we test worldly desire, only to find ourselves drowning in them, God remains loyal to us, rescuing us and restoring our desire for Him alone.

Biblical principle 6 (3:5):  “—They shall fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days.”

Lesson 6: We may know what it means to “fear the Lord”- but what does it mean the goodness of God. The goodness of God to us is so great that make us tremble.”
