Study From the Book of Galatians,7
Today is the study of the final chapter of this vital book of the Scripture, chapter 6. As usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be applied in biblical counselling.
In chapter 6, the apostle Paul writes a final conclusion and advice.. The advice is to bear and share the burden of each other. Also he advises to do good and be generous to each other. He ends his epistle by saying that if he only has to preach one thing, it is to preach Christ and His redemptive work in the Cross . Obeying law of Moses is futile and does not grant us salvation. He then ends his message by the blessings.
Chapter six has four main topics as follows:
Principle 11, verse 6:7 “- Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will reap.”
Lesson 11: Paul often uses the phrase, “do not be deceived,” probably because so many of us are. He wants to remind us that our actions always have a consequence, either for good or for bad. To think otherwise is to be deceived.
Principle 12, verse 6:15: “-For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor un-circumcision avails anything, but a new creation.”
Lesson 12 : God intends to make us into totally new people, not by tinkering with different kinds of religious rituals or by trying to reform our behaviour, but by changing us through His Spirit into the likeness of Christ.
