Study From the Book of First Corinthians,7
Today we study chapter 6 of this vital book of the Bible and as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be applied in biblical counselling.
In chapter 6, the apostle Paul deals with two main topics;
Principle 11, verse 6:12 “- All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.”
Lesson 11: Here the apostle Paul had no interest in allowing sinful patterns from which he had escaped through God’s grace to enslave him again. He did not ask , “What is wrong with it ?” as much as “what is right with it?”
Principle 12, verse 6:20 “- For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Lesson 12 : No Christian should ever say, “It is my body; I can do what I want with it!” No believer owns his or her body; Christ paid for it with His own blood on the cross. It belongs to Him.9/9/2018
