Study From the Book of First Corinthians,17

Study From the Book of Romans, 17

In this part seventeen   of this series, we study chapter 16, the final chapter of this rich epistle of Paul. And as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can applied in biblical counselling.

Chapter 16 has four main topics:

  1. From verse 1 to 4:  collection for the saints.
  2. From verse 5 to 12: Personal plans
  3. From verse 13 to 18: Final exhortations.
  4. From verse 19 to verse 24: greetings and a solemn farewell.

Principle 31, verse 16:9: “-For a great and effective door has opened to me , and there are many adversaries.”

Lesson 31:  the blessing of God-in this case, the opening of a “great and effective door”-often comes bundled with difficulties- in this case, “many adversaries.” We should not grow discouraged by the difficulties or become presumptuous because of the blessings.

Principle 32, verse 16:22 – “- If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ. let him be accursed(Greek:  anathema). O Lord Come(Aramaic:  Marantha)!

Lesson 32:  After the Lord returns for His people, it will be too late for unbelievers to return to Him in faith and so bask in His love. That is why the right time to “get right” with God is always right now. 25/11/2018
