Study From the Book of First Corinthians,14

Study From the Book of First Corinthians,14

Today we study chapter 13 of this vital Epistle of the apostle Paul and as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be applied in biblical counselling.

Chapter 13 is a unique chapter of Paul as he talks about the greatest gift which is LOVE. When he talks of love, he talks about it in the context of the spiritual gifts.

Chapter 13 is well known by biblical scholars as a masterpiece that portrait LOVE:  the everlasting and the valuable gift as all other gifts will disappear when we go to heaven but only love to persist.

Principle 25 , verse 13:9: “—For we know in part and we prophesy in part.”

Lesson 25: God never gave any of His children a complete picture of what He was doing or what He planned to do. Can you imagine the arrogance that would result if He had? Instead we need to depend on Him.

Principle 26 verse 13:13: “—And now abide faith, hope, love, these three , but the greatest of these is Love.”

Lesson 26; Hope will disappear in heaven, because we will already have everything we have ever hoped for. Faith will not be required since we will see the King in His glory. But love will remain forever.  4/11/2018
