Study From the Book of Ezekiel,7
Today is the seventh part of this series where we study chapter seven. We pick up a couple of biblical principles with lessons that can be useful in biblical counselling.
In this chapter prophet Ezekiel predicts Nebuchadnezzar’s desecration of Jerusalem and temple in 586 B.C. As a last resort, peace at any price would be fervently sought from false prophets, priests, and politicians but without success. The deadline for decisive action would have passed
Structure:
Verses 1-27: judgment on Israel is near.
Principles 12, verse 7:19 “-----Their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord.”
Lesson 12: When the time of God’s judgement arrives, no amount of planning or scheming will be able to rescue a person intended for judgement. Nothing can stand in the way of God’ accomplishing His purpose.
Principle 13, 7:27: “----I will do to them according to their way and according to what they deserve I will judge them--- .”
Lesson 13: The bible tells us that God keeps careful records of what we say and do even think, to make sure that everyone gets exactly his due at the final judgement.25/9/2022
