Study From the Book of Ezekiel,43
Today is the forty-third part of this series where we study chapter 43. Here we pick up one biblical principle and its lesson which is useful in biblical counselling.
In Ezk.11:23 God’s glory had left the temple and gone east over the Mount of Olives because of the idolatries practice that was in the old temple that caused its destruction when His presence left the city.
Here His presence is pictured as returning to the city from the east and dwelling in the new temple which as mentioned before, will be at the time of the millennium when the Lord Jesus will reign for 1000 years after the rapture of the Church and the great tribulation.
The alter of this future temple is huge and it is positioned in the centre of the inner court. The atonement and sin offerings should be offered on this alter for purification and cleansing of sin. At that time the Jews accept the Lord Jesus’ death and resurrection for their sins, but they will do that for the purpose of remembrance like what the Church now is doing in the holy communion.
Structure:
Verses 1-12: the temple, the Lord’s swelling place.
Verses 13-17: dimensions of the alter.
18-27: consecrating the alter.
Principle 65: verse 43:2 — “—And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory.”
Lesson 65: Even today the whole earth shines with the glory of God’s creative genius, but one day it will shine with the glory of His redemptive and saving genius. When the Saviour rules in fullness, complete joy will finally arrive.2/7/2032.
