Study From the Book of Ezekiel,41
Today is the forty-first part of this series where we study chapter 41. Here we pick up one biblical principle and its lesson which, is useful in biblical counselling.
Ezekiel’s vision of a restored temple gave hope to the exiles in Babylon. They had heard of the temple’s destruction in 586 B.C., but Ezekiel spoke of a more glorious temple than the one that had been destroyed. This glory of the new temple will not be derived from gold or intricate carvings, but from the presence of the living God among His people.
Structure:
Verses 1-4: dimension of the sanctuary
Verses 5-11: the side chambers of the wall
Verse 12: the building at the western end
Verses 13-26: dimensions and design of the temple area.
Principle 63: verse 41:4 — “He measured the length, twenty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits, beyond the sanctuary, and he said to me, ‘this is the Most Holy Place.’”
Lesson 63: The holiness of God is in the centre in both the Old and the New Testaments. The Most Holy Place is the most holy and it is placed in the inner section of the temple where God in His glory dwells. In the New Testament our bodies should be the most holy place where the Holy Spirit (God -Jesus) dwells (18/06/2023).
