Study From the Book of Ezekiel,12

Study From the Book of Ezekiel,12

Today is the twelfth part of this series where we study chapter 12. There are two biblical principle and their lessons in this chapter.

In this chapter, Ezekiel predicted the deportation of Jerusalem’s population to Babylon 6 years later. And prophesied exactly what would happen to their King Zedekiah.

The Lord in verse 15 translates God’s personal name. It appears in this prophecy to indicate God’s special relationship to Israelites. Ezekiel instructed the exiles that their difficult situation did have a purpose. God would use it to demonstrate that He is a personal caring God. Its aim was corrective and instructive.

Furthermore, the exile would be a testimony to the Gentiles. The defeat of God’s people would not indicate the Lord’s lack of strength, but a serious consequence of sin against Him. Yet He would demonstrate that His purpose had always been to restore people to Himself. Through the difficult experience, His people would learn that their God was both holy and loving. Sin offended  Him, but He still would reach out to restore the sinner.

Structure:

Verses 1-16: Judah’s captivity portrayed.

Verses 17- 28: judgement not postponed.

Principles 21, verse 12:3 “---Therefore, son of man, prepare your belonging for captivity, and go for captivity by day in their sight …,It may be that they will consider. Though they are a rebellious house.”

Lesson 21: God instructed  Ezekiel to perform many unusual actions in a last -ditch effort to prod the rebellious Israelites to return to the Lord with all their heart and soul.God will do all He can to hold off judgement.

Principle 22, verse 12:25: --”For I am the Lord, I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass.”

Principle 22: You can rely completely on the truth and accuracy of the word of God. When Jesus disputed with Satan in the wilderness, He responded repeatedly with an authoritative. “It is written…” (Matt. 4:4,7,10). 6/11/2022.
