Study From the Book of Ezekiel,11

Today is the eleventh part of this series where we study chapter 11. There are two biblical principle and th​eir lessons in this chapter.

The word of God spoken to Ezekiel that there will judgement on wicked leaders. Those leaders had been accused of wicked activities and giving unrighteous advice. In this chapter, we notice also that they had killed fellow countrymen.

The ones who been killed by the wicked leaders were godly people whose presence might have offered protection of Jerusalem. So, the penalty of death is announced upon the wicked.

God then explained to Ezekiel that the Hebrews    taken captive and spread among foreign lands were actually the remnant whom God was protecting. God Himself would continue as their sanctuary-a word in Hebrew that literally means a “holy place” or a set-apart, and God will be pleased to give them the land back, that land God promised to Abraham.

Structure:

Verses 1-13: judgement on wicked counsellors.

Verses 14-25: God will restore Israel.

Principles 19, verse 11:5 “---for I know the things that come into your mind.”

Lesson 19: The Lord knows us completely-our thoughts, our plans, our hopes, our feelings etc. We can hide nothing from Him, and we can never surprise Him. He knows us better than we know ourselves; that is why we can trust Him.

Principle 20, verse 11:16: --” Although I have cast them far off---yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them.”

Principle 20: Wherever we go, God is a sanctuary for us. Even when He judged Israel and sent her into captivity, even there in the land of the nation’s exile, the Lord became “a little sanctuary” for her. The same He is doing for us as believers
