Study From the Book of Ezekiel,10

Study From the Book of Ezekiel,10

Today is the tenth    part of this series where we study chapter 10. There is one biblical principle with its lesson we explore in this chapter.

Because of the sins of Israelites which were mentioned in the previous chapter, God departs from the temple. In verses 3-5, Ezekiel describes the cloud which represents God’s glory is seen moving from the inner court to the threshold of the temple. From there it fills the temple.

God’s glory continues moving gradually but progressively away from the temple, from entrance door of the temple to the wheeled cherubin throne, and then with the big throne to the east gate of the temple.

Structure:

Verses 1-122: the glory departs from the temple.

Principles 18, verse 10:18 “---Then the glory of the Lord departed from the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim.”

Lesson 18: Many in Israel thought Jerusalem could never be destroyed because the temple (God’s home) stood there. They never imagined that He would abandon the temple, even though He had warned of precisely that in 1 Kings 9:6,7 if the people continued sinning against the holy God.  (16/10/2022).
