Study From the Book of Daniel, 12
Today is the final part of this series, part twelve where we study chapter 12 and as usual, we pick up two biblical principles and their lessons which are useful in biblical counselling.
In this chapter, Daniel prophesied about the end time. The time of the Great Tribulation which precedes the coming of Christ to judge the livings. In that time the church has already taken to heaven and the wise in earth not only understand salvation themselves, they also turn many others to the way of righteousness.
The time of Great Tribulation is for three and half years, starts from the middle of the 7 years (the middle of the last week of Daniel) when Antichrist governs the world and declares himself as god and abominates the Temple which was already been built.
It will be time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation. The remnants of the Jews and people who are justified by faith in Christ will enter the happy 1000 years the millennium when the Lord Christ reigns.
The book of Daniel ends by the Lord saying to Daniel he shall rest (die)and will arise to his inherence at the end of the days.
Structure:
Verses 1-13: prophecy of the end time.
Principle 22 verse 12:2“---And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life , some to shame and everlasting contempt."
Lesson 22 : Any hardship that God asks us to endure for His sake will one day seem like nothing in comparison with the eternal life.
Principle 23, verse 12:8: --“Although I heard, I did not understand.”
Lesson 23: What we need to understand, the Holy Spirit helps us to understand, in His time.
