Study From the Book of Ephesians, 4

Study From the Book of Ephesians, 4

Today is the fourth part of the series, “Study from the Book of Ephesians,” as we study chapter 3 and as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be applied in biblical counselling.  Remind our readers that those biblical principles and lessons can be applied either as self help or in counselling others.

Chapter three was devoted to explore the Mystery that was concealed in the OT  and only been revealed to the Apostle Paul to declare it here in the book of Ephesians, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ that gathers both the Jewish and the gentiles.

So this mystery been explained in three areas as follows:

  1. Verse 1: 7: the mystery revealed
  2. Verse 8:13: the purpose of the mystery
  3. Verse 14: 20: the application of the mystery

Principle 5,verse 3:16: “—He would grant you , according to the riches of His glory , to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man..”

Lessons 5: If we feel weak, it is not because we suffer from a lack of available power. The might of God that created the universe and that raised Jesus from the dead is available to us at every moment through believing prayer.

Principle 6: verse 3:20: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us...”

Lesson 6: God loves to surprise His faithful people with answers to prayer far exceeding anything they had imagined. That power is as close as the Spirit within us.
