                   Study From the Book of Ephesians, 2

Today is the second part of the series, “Study from the Book of Ephesians.” We start by studying chapter one and as usual we pick up a couple of biblical principles and lessons that can be applied in biblical counselling.  

In chapter one, after Paul’s greeting to the church of Ephesians, he goes on and describes the abundant blessings that we have in Christ. Through Him we are redeemed from our sins and been sealed for heavenly places in heaven. He then talks about the wisdom we have in the Spirit that we have to understand our position in Christ.

In Chapter one, Paul comes across those topics:

1. From verse 1 to 2: the greeting.
2. From verse 3 to 14: redemption in Christ and sealing with the Spirit of promise.
3. From verse 15 to 22: prayer for Spiritual wisdom.

Principle 1 : verse 1:3: “Blessed be in the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”

Lessons 1: God is not stingy when it comes to bestowing His blessing on His much-loved children, He has already given us every spiritual blessing, securing them for us in heaven, where non can be stolen, damaged or kept back.

Principle 2: verse 1:19: “... and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe...”

Lesson 2: The disciples continually marvelled at the overwhelmingly powerful miracles that the Lord performed. That same power is available to us by faith through the Spirit.5/5/2019
