Study From the Second Epistle of Paul to Timothy,1
Today is the first part of this new series, the second letter of Paul to Timothy and as usual we start with introduction.
Paul is now in his last short prison awaiting his execution to travel to heaven after he completed his task in spreading the gospel to Europe.
His last letter to Timothy is more personal. He records that all his companions has left him. Some for missionary work but others like Demas left him as he loved the present world.
However, he asked Timothy to come urgently to see him before winter to give him final verbal instructions and to bring Mark with him.

Date: not later before A.D. 68, the time when Nero the Roman emperor committed sicide after he executed Paul.

1:8-2:13: encourages remaining true to faith
2:14-3:9: warns him of several dangers

4:6-18: informs him of his current situation
